PFD 3 Jackets

A PFD type 3 jacket is one that complies with the requirements of the Australian Standards approval code 2260. It provides a similar amount of buoyancy to a PFD type 2, but it is permitted to carry a wider range of colours than just the highly visible safety colours required on PFD type 1 & 2. PFD type 3’s are usually recommended for use by water skiers and jet skiers in sheltered waters where assistance is immediately at hand.
