Job applicants and employees
In additional to the purposes listed above, we collect additional Personal Information from job applicants and employees in order to:
determine their right to work in Australia
assess their suitability for an advertised role within JPW Marine
pay employee salaries, superannuation and leave
withhold PAYG tax & pay it to the ATO
This additional information may include employment details, bank account details, superannuation fund details, tax file number, work visa status (if applicable) signature, date of birth and employer references.
This information is either held on secure servers in digital format, or in a locked cabinet if hard copy format. Job applicant information in hard copy format is destroyed within 3 months after the position has been filled, however if it is in digital format it may be retained for a period of up to one year. Employee information may be kept for up to one year after an employee ceases employment with JPW Marine, after which it will be deleted/destroyed.
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.
Disclosure of Personal Information

JPW does not disclose personal information to overseas recipients except in the case where we are asked to deliver an order to an overseas address. In that scenario only personal information required for the transport carrier to undertake the following would be disclosed:
a) To deliver the order, or
b) in the scenario that the order could not be delivered for whatever reason, to contact the recipient in order to re-attempt delivery
c) in the scenario that the recipient claimed the order had not been received, to undertake an investigation into what happened to the package/s
